Every week we have 'teachers of the week'. The teachers of week are smart students who will teach you something they have learnt in class (at the moment, we are focusing on maths). They decide what to say and how to explain the concept.
Here is episode 1.
Check back next week for a new episode!
(Please comment - We would love to know what you think!)
Well done to the teachers of this week! You have explained the concept of addition perfectly. You even taught me something new as I learnt a different method at school when I was young. I am looking forward to some more teaching by the kids of room 12! Juliane (Anna's mum)
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing segment! I love the way that everyone in your group has been able to share and explain what rounding and compensating is. You must have been doing some great learning in your class. I can't wait to share it with Room 22. Mrs Wyeth.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to see the strategy you are using to solve maths problems - Lochlainn Room 22
ReplyDeleteI think you did well to show people who look at your blog what you are learning and how you do it - Grace Room 22
I liked that you gave us so many examples of rounding and compensating - Charlotte Room 22
Thank you for commenting on our blog - we really enjoyed reading your comments. We are going to make episode 2 with different teachers (children) soon - make sure you check back later this week.
ReplyDeleteCool to have what you're learning explained to us so we can understand what you've been up to and we don't try to confuse you with our old-skool explainations...
