Holidays

Wow - the term has ended already! Those nine weeks went incredibly quickly. We've learnt loads and had such a great time.

So far this term we've covered things such as...

- Telling the time
- Simple fractions
- Addition and Subtraction strategies
- Adverbs
- Kia Kaha (Who we are + our relationships with others)
- Reading
- Writing recounts
- Writing persuasive letters
- Loads of Art

If you'd like something to do over the Holidays, you could...

- Write a recount about something you did or somewhere you went.
- Head on over to our maths page and play some of the maths games.
- Go to this website and practice your basic facts (the same ones as the test we do).
- Listen to one of our podcasts and comment below or on the wall.
- Write a story to record as podcast for when you get back to school.
- Invent a game, write the rules down and share it with the class when you get back.
- Help Mum & Dad with cleaning the house, car or garden.

I'd like to say how impressed I am with all the children in Room 12. They are incredibly clever, creative and well behaved. All the children have improved a great deal and will continue to do so - keep it up Room 12!

Enjoy your holidays - stay safe and have fun!

  1. What a busy term - no wonder Pearse's is tired! I will ensure he follows the helping Mum and Dad directive with chores over the holidays. Bring on another action packed term!
